Contortion

This class focus on improving your core strength and extending flexibility in the hips, back, shoulders and legs to prepare you for learning contortion moves such as chest stands, standing splits and more. The emphasis is on maintaining proper alignment and control as students gradually deepen into these flexibility-intensive shapes.

In a typical 60-minute contortion class, students will begin with a thorough warm-up including dynamic stretches and mobility exercises to gently wake up the joints and muscles. The instructor then leads the class through a series of foundational contortion movements, starting with basic backbends, front splits, and side splits. As the class progresses, the instructor introduces more advanced contortion techniques, such as chest-to-floor backbends, scorpion poses, and even full body contortions where the performer's limbs wrap around their torso.

Suitable for any level and experience. The instructor will work with your individual abilities to ensure safety.
